The company is currently looking for a Contract Manager to join its Cape Town operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in facilities management, customer relationship management, and operational leadership.
Role Purpose
The Contract Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing tailored cleaning solutions for clients in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role requires a balance of strategic oversight, operational execution, and staff management to ensure high standards of hygiene and service delivery are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
As a Contract Manager, your duties will include:
- Client Service & SLA Management
- Ensure efficient delivery of services as outlined in SLAs.
 - Conduct daily audits on service quality and maintain prescribed standards.
 - Provide monthly compliance reports and feedback to clients.
 - Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction.
 
 - Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Implement effective Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Management Systems in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
 - Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ISO 9001 standards.
 - Identify risks, deficiencies, and gaps in service delivery, recommending cost-effective solutions.
 
 - Staff Leadership & Performance Management
- Manage, coach, and mentor subordinate employees to improve performance.
 - Develop work schedules, prepare shift rosters, and approve leave.
 - Monitor performance, resolve conflicts, and implement corrective actions when required.
 - Drive continuous staff development through training and capacity building.
 
 - Operational Excellence
- Explore innovative, best-practice methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
 - Assist with projects, providing technical expertise and operational support.
 - Ensure cleaner work schedules are effectively implemented and monitored.
 - Prepare and analyse reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and compliance gaps.
 
 
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following:
- Education & Qualifications
- Matric (Senior Certificate).
 - Formal qualification in Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
 - Valid South African driver’s licence.
 
 - Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Facilities Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Property Management, or Financial Management.
 - Strong background in cleaning services, facilities, or contract management.
 
 - Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
 - Intermediate knowledge of MS Project and PRP.
 - Sound understanding of the OHS Act and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
