The successful candidates will begin in a structured office-based environment, ensuring proper onboarding, product training, and client targeting. Once a portfolio of clients has been established, the role transitions into a more independent, field-based model, offering flexibility to work from home while meeting clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities
As a Field Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in representing the brand in the market and directly contributing to its growth. Your duties will include:
- Sales and Client Acquisition
- Identify, approach, and secure new clients including contractors, applicators, and building retailers.
- Conduct regular cold-calling and prospecting to penetrate the KZN market.
- Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
- Relationship Management
- Establish strong, long-term relationships with clients through excellent service delivery.
- Provide after-sales support and maintain strong client loyalty to encourage repeat business.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by offering technical advice and responding to product-related queries.
- Product Promotion and Training
- Conduct field visits and product demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits.
- Organize presentations and training sessions for contractors and retail staff.
- Act as a brand ambassador by representing the company professionally in every interaction.
- Sales Reporting and Administration
- Track sales performance against monthly and quarterly targets.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and client interactions using CRM and digital tools.
- Submit market feedback on competitor products, customer preferences, and regional trends.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the internal sales and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Participate in regular meetings to review progress and align on strategy.
Position Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate both sales ability and industry knowledge. The following minimum requirements apply:
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven sales experience within the construction supply industry or building materials sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with waterproofing products, coatings, or related construction materials is a strong advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as CRM systems, email, and mobile-based sales applications.
- Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated and goal-driven with a high level of resilience.
- Confident in cold-calling and initiating new client relationships.
- Professional, energetic, and eager to represent a leading brand in the industry.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive remuneration package designed to reward both base performance and results-driven sales.
- Base Salary: R15,000 per month.
- Commission: Uncapped commission structure with:
- Standard commission on new sales.
- An additional 3% commission on sales to existing clients.
- Benefits:
- Vehicle fuel allowance.
- Company-provided mobile phone (with airtime and data).
- Company laptop.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, with travel across the province.
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
