MAIN DUTIES
As an integral member of our unilever production team, your responsibilities will encompass a dynamic range of tasks essential to maintaining an efficient, safe, and high-quality packaging operation:
- Routine Production Line Operations and Planned Sanitation: You will be responsible for the execution of daily operational tasks on the automated packaging line, ensuring products are processed and packaged according to established schedules and specifications. This unilever includes meticulous adherence to a structured sanitation schedule, performing thorough cleaning and sterilization of equipment and work areas to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene standards.
- Pre-Operational Equipment and Area Verification: Before initiating any production run, it is imperative to conduct thorough pre-operational checks. This unilever involves a systematic inspection of all machinery and the surrounding work environment to confirm cleanliness, proper functioning, and compliance with all relevant safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Any deviations or potential hazards must be identified and addressed immediately.
- Quality Assurance and Incident Reporting: You will play a critical role in maintaining the highest product and packaging quality standards. This involves continuous monitoring and inspection of both the products being packaged and the packaging materials themselves, ensuring they consistently meet specified quality parameters. Any non-conformances, defects, or deviations from quality standards must be promptly identified, documented, and reported to supervisory personnel for immediate corrective action.
- Proactive Anomaly Detection and Immediate Resolution: A key responsibility is to develop a keen eye for identifying any unusual or anomalous occurrences during the packaging process. This includes recognizing deviations in machine performance, product flow, or packaging integrity. Upon detection, you are expected to take immediate and decisive action to troubleshoot and rectify the issue, preventing escalation and minimizing potential downtime or product waste.
- Adherence to Manufacturer and Site-Specific Cleaning Protocols: The cleanliness and maintenance of our advanced machinery are paramount. You will be responsible for meticulously cleaning and sanitizing equipment in strict accordance with the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) guidelines and our facility’s specific cleaning and maintenance schedules and procedures. This ensures optimal machine performance, longevity, and compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Raw Material Preparation and Quality Inspection: Prior to their introduction into the production process, you will be tasked with the careful preparation and rigorous inspection of all raw materials. This includes verifying material specifications, checking for damage or contamination, and ensuring they meet the required quality standards for subsequent processing and packaging.
- Commitment to Personal and Team Safety: Safety is our highest priority. You are expected to consistently adhere to all established health and safety protocols, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and actively promoting a culture of safety among your colleagues. This includes identifying and reporting potential hazards and participating in safety briefings and drills.
- Contribution to Sustainable Practices: Unilever are committed to environmental stewardship. You will contribute to creating and maintaining a workplace that champions resource efficiency and environmentally responsible practices. This includes minimizing waste, optimizing energy consumption, and adhering to recycling and waste disposal procedures.
